Big Pic

I took this Polaroid photo in the living room of my grandparents' house in Livermore, Kentucky. The date was probably Saturday evening, March 28, 1964, the night before Easter. Wearing the yellow dress is my grandmother Lydia Thomas. Seated are two of her daughters-in-law, my mother Ann and my aunt Martha. My parents and I usually made the 400-plus-mile drive down to western Kentucky each spring and fall. Even today, each year I try to visit my aunts and uncles in the area. It's good to hear the soft old accents again.
