	As it happened, May 25 was also Memorial Day.  While the commencement ceremonies were taking place on campus . . . (TEXT CONTINUED BELOW) . . . a somewhat smaller group of townspeople gathered that same morning at the Soldiers Monument in Wright Park (below).  They were there, according to organizer Tony Mealy, to “pay respect to the 125 of Oberlin whose names are engraved in stone at Vine Street.”
