2016 press release:  "Currently, 23 members of the National Academy of Sciences earned their undergraduate degrees at Oberlin.  It is astonishing for a school of Oberlin's size to produce so many top scientists.  No other liberal arts college comes close."

On October 4, 2002, Oberlin College dedicated a new science center.  (More facts and photos are available on the college's website.)  The next day, I visited the campus to see the changes and take the following pictures.

I graduated from Oberlin as a physics major back in 1969.  My classes and labs met in the Wright physics building, which is in the background of this photo.  That 60-year-old building is still in use but has been incorporated into the new construction.  (Click here for another angle of this area.)
