And there I am on the sofa in 1950, surrounded by tame animals.  I actually remember three of these toys.

The horse, I was told, was made for me by my Grandmother Thomas in Kentucky.  The painted metal Pluto on wheels wagged his tail when rolled along the floor.  The plastic duck opened and closed the lower half of his bill; probably he also quacked, until the noisemaker broke.
