Finally, here's a theatre that immerses the audience in a kaleidoscope.

The lower part of the auditorium is shown on the left, the upper part on the right.  The walls colored green represent huge mirrors, set at a 90° angle to each other.  The audience, seeing its multiple reflections, perceives that there are not two sections of seating but eight, completely surrounding an octagonal stage.  The 256 seats appear to be 1,024.  A "kick line" of ten dancers on the stage appears to be a square of forty dancers.

Because so much wall space is taken up by the mirrors, scenery is limited to two areas:  the lighted panels at the rear of the auditorium, and the ceiling between the stage and the upper-level orchestra.  That ceiling rotates to bring foliage, streamers, or different elements into view.  This limited scenery is multiplied fourfold by the kaleidoscope.  It would be of limited utility, but it's still a neat effect!
