Those are my cousins Carol and Jerry Buckingham on the porch, and the number over the door appears to be 1009.  Therefore, this must be the house at 1009 Augusta Street in Racine, Wisconsin, where Carol and Jerry lived with their parents Ralph and Esther beginning in 1939.  My future mother even stayed there for a time in 1943-44.

Below is a 2012 Google Earth view of that house on the north side of town, a thousand yards from Lake Michigan.

When I originally posted the first picture, I mistakenly thought it showed this house at 1035 Gomber Avenue in Cambridge, Ohio.  Vernon Thomas rented a room here when he came to town to work at the local Chevrolet dealership, a couple of blocks to the south.  It happened to be the home of Harry and Emma Buckingham and their daughter Ann.  Vernon would marry Ann 2½ years later, and they would be my parents.
